Under the
direction of Peggy McCaslin, DBC Tap Connection was formed prior to
2000 to provide advanced tap dancers an opportunity to perform professionally
choreographed tap numbers. The DBC Tap Connection has been invited and
selected to dance in several performances and have been featured numerous
times at the National Tap Dance Day. Noted for their smooth style and
precisional technique, "The ballet influence showed up in New York
performance by Dallas Ballet Center Tap Connection. In glittering tops
and hats six fluid and slinky dancers made Frank Sinatra's "Let's
Face the Music and Dance" and "New York, New York" fresh
- Katie Powell was particularly engaging" (Dallas Morning News,
May 26, 2002 - Margaret Putnam).
Advanced students
interested in becoming a member of the DBC Tap Connection must meet
tap technique criteria and attend the audition classes. Students will
be notified as to when the auditions are in their technique classes.
