Catherine Lewellen
Catherine Lewellen began her dance training at a young age in Dallas before moving to Florida to board at The Harid Conservatory. She moved back and trained at Dallas Ballet Center (as a member of City Dance Theater), Booker T. Washington, and with Lisa Owen. After high school, Catherine moved to Pittsburgh where she danced with Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, under the direction of Terrence Orr, for two years working with notable choreographers, such as Dwight Rhoden and Alonzo King.
She chose to further her modern dance training by attending The Juilliard School and by working with Complexions Dance, Inc. under the direction of Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, during the summers. She has since moved in a new direction in her life and is currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Counseling at Southern Methodist University after having graduated University of Texas at Dallas with a double major in Child Development and Psychology with highest honors, summa cum laude. She has found the love of her life and has been married to her handsome prince for two years and is excited to start a family! Catherine joined the Dallas Ballet Center faculty in 2007 and she loves every minute of it!
