Susan Graham
SUSAN GRAHAM is a native of Dallas and honored to be a member of the Dallas Ballet Center Faculty. She began dancing at the age of three pursuing ballet, tap and jazz until she discovered the Dallas Ballet Center at age 10. While dancing at the Dallas Ballet Center, Susan performed with both City Dance Theatre and the DBC Tap Company. Susan also attended the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts as a dance major where she was a member of Repertory Company I under the direction of Lily Cabatu Weiss. She has performed in modern works by John Mead, Adam Hougland, Jay Franke, and Jessica Lang, as well the numerous Dallas Ballet Center productions such as The Nutcracker, Raymonda, Sleeping Beauty, and Don Quixote to name a few.
Upon graduation, Susan attended The Boston Conservatory where she received her BFA in Dance Performance in 2005. Under the direction of Yasuko Tokunaga, she was honored to work with teachers such as Donna Silva, Luis Fuente, Jennifer Scanlon, Leslie Woodies, and Debra Bluth. While a modern major, Susan performed in works by Prometheus Dance Company under the direction of Tommy Neblett and Diane Arvanites Noya, Alwin Nikolais' Tensile Involvement staged by Alberto Del Saz, There is a Time staged by Jennifer Scanlon, as well as many other classical modern works. She has also had the pleasure of performing with the Hoofers for two seasons, a Boston Tap Company directed by Josh Hilberman. Upon moving to New York City, Susan spent time furthering her education as a dancer by taking classes with Jim May of the Limon Dance Company. She is also a certified personal trainer and works with Lady Trainers To Go, a private in-home personal training company.
