Ann Sterling Dale

Ann Sterling Dale is from Statesville, NC and graduated from Elon University with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography. She attended The Ailey School in 2010 and has performed professionally with the Winston-Salem Festival Ballet, The Next Stage Project, and BalaSole Dance Company. She has presented and performed her work A Battle Waged in the 2012 Young Choreographer’s Festival in New York City. Ann Sterling has performed with Ad Deum Dance Company in Houston, Texas from 2012-2015.She has choreographed HFCC Performing Arts Company’s summer productions of Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, and Beauty and the Beast in Oscoda, Michigan. Ann Sterling studied further at The Ailey School in the Professional Division Scholarship Program and performed in Matthew Rushing’s work for The Ailey School’s 2015 Winter Concert as well as his work for the Hudson Yards Alvin Ailey Project. Ann Sterling performed at the 2016 Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem in 2016 with the Tabernacle Dance Company. She has performed and taught for Project Dance in New York City, Costa Rica, Oklahoma City, Orlando, and Houston. She has taught as Faculty for the Ballet Hispánico Tap Program and The School at Steps in New York City. Ann Sterling also has her Pilates Mat 1 Certification. She has been on Faculty for Ingredients Dance Company and performed with Dance Revolution. She has performed as a founding company member of Zion Dance Project for the past eight years in Dallas. She is currently on Faculty for the Epicenter for the Arts in Southlake, TX as well as other schools in the Dallas area. She is also one of the founding leaders of the Upper Room Church Dance Ministry. She has recently founded her own dance company, Kharashim Dance Co. which was launched in October of 2023. Ann Sterling is the head coach of the After Eden Talent dance program founded in summer of 2023. She is honored to be joining the Dallas Ballet Center faculty this year.
