What is Variation Showcase?

Variation Showcase is an opportunity for our dancers to prepare, outside of regular classes, a solo or ensemble piece of choreography in their choice of styles, and perform that piece in a theater setting for an audience and a panel of adjudicators. Feedback from the adjudicators can be used to improve future dance performances.

 

Variation Showcase is not a competition. Dancers will not be ranked in any way, and there are no winners or losers. Everyone will benefit from the opportunity to perform on a stage in front of an audience and receive professional feedback.

 

Variation Showcase 2026 will take place on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the 
Granville Arts Center in Garland, TX. A full studio run-through in costume will be held at 
Dallas Ballet Center on Sunday, February 15.
