What is Variation Showcase?

Variation Showcase is an opportunity for our dancers to prepare, outside of regular classes, a solo or ensemble piece of choreography in their choice of styles, and perform that piece in a theater setting for an audience and a panel of adjudicators. Feedback from the adjudicators can be used to improve future dance performances.

 

Variation Showcase is not a competition. Dancers will not be ranked in any way, and there are no winners or losers. Everyone will benefit from the opportunity to perform on a stage in front of an audience and receive professional feedback.

 

Variation Showcase 2027 will take place on Sunday, February 21, 2027 at the 
Bank of America Theater at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson, TX. A full studio run-through in costume will be held at 
Dallas Ballet Center on Sunday, February 14.
