Annie Corley discovered her love for dance at the age of two when she started attending her mother’s, Laura Corley, ballet and tap classes. In the fifth grade, she began taking ballet and lyrical at Dallas Ballet Center and stayed through her graduation in 2016. Annie danced in the Dallas Ballet Company and performed in countless Nutcrackers, June Productions, RDAs and company performances. One of her favorite performance opportunities with DBCo was touring in Austria with Young! Tanzsommer. Post Dallas Ballet, Annie continued and expanded her dance education and performing at Sewanee: The University of the South under the instruction of Courtney World and with the student-run dance organization Perpetual Motion. She served as performer, choreographer, instructor, Treasurer, and Vice President for Perpetual Motion. Annie performed in the University Dance Department’s annual show DanceWise and performed pieces set and choreographed by guest choreographers including Bill Evans of the Bill Evans Dance Company. After graduating, Annie returned to Dallas and has been teaching at the studio for three years.
