Charlotte Kelsey

Charlotte Kelsey was born and raised in Dallas, training at Texas Ballet Theater School, Dallas Metropolitan Ballet, and Dallas Ballet Center. She also attended high school at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. During her time in high school, Charlotte performed with Dallas Ballet Company, where she performed works by Jason Fowler, Silas Farley, and others. After graduating high school, Charlotte joined Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s graduate program. After a year in the program, Charlotte was offered a position with Kansas City Ballet’s second company. While at Kansas City Ballet, Charlotte performed alongside the company in productions such as Septime Webre’s Wizard of Oz, Mark Morris’ Sandpaper, George Balanchine’s Serenade, and others. She also had the pleasure of going on tour with the company to Washington, D.C. to perform the Nutcracker. Charlotte has spent summers at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre NYC, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Texas Ballet Theater. Charlotte is very excited to be back in Dallas and teaching at a place where she truly feels at home.
