
Jessica Lohr
Ballet

Jessica Lohr grew up in Houston, Texas where she began her dance training at age seven. She trained under the direction of Victoria Vittum, James Payne, and Bridget Payne through her high school years as well as spending her summers training at intensives around the United States including Boston Ballet, Texas Ballet Theater, Ballet Magnificat, and The Washington Ballet. Out of high school Jessica was accepted into The Washington Ballet’s Professional Training Program where she danced in productions of Don Quixote, Etudes, and The Nutcracker. In 2014, she joined Ballet Magnificat as a trainee and was promoted to the Events Company the next year. With the Events Company Jessica had the opportunity to tour to Honduras, Guam, South Korea, China, and across the US. Jessica joined Chicago based company Ballet 5:8 in 2017, and was promoted to Soloist in 2020. In Chicago she taught ballet at the School of Ballet 5:8 and served as the Children’s Division director. Jessica moved to Dallas in 2022 and began teaching at Dallas Ballet Center. In Dallas, she danced professionally with Zion Dance Project for three years. Jessica hold a bachelor of science in Social Work, and is certified to teach all levels of Progressing Ballet technique. She is incredibly grateful to be teaching at Dallas Ballet Center and to watch the next generation of dancers grow!
