Jonathan Etibo
Hip Hop
Jonathan Etibo became interested in dancing after being inspired by watching Michael Jackson videos. At the age of twenty-one, he began taking hip-hop and jazz classes offered at his school in Raymond, Mississippi where he achieved a sense of choreography and developed skills in dancing. Later on that year, he made his first stage performance at the college’s winter concert. The following year, Jonathan moved to Dallas, Texas, where he began teaching at the University of Texas at Dallas. That same year, he also began training with Fenton Fulgham and was a member of the Elite-Ftroop Dance Team. Recently Jonathan worked with the choreographer of Step Up 3D, Jamal Simms, during the Dallas’ Superbowl weekend, opening for music artists Drake and Mystikal. Jonathan’s influences also include Keith Green, Keith Clark, Jenny Durbin and many other choreographers.
